We are Diagnosis Specialists that SAVE you money! |
Diagnosis is the art and science of determining the problem with your vehicle. Often a single problem has multiple causes. We use our experience, knowledge, training and specialty tools to determine the best course of action to return your vehicle to factory specifications. We
are constantly given vehicles and customers that have been “diagnosed” at an auto parts house. “I have a print-out of what is wrong,” Is something we hear almost daily. ‘How much is an oxygen sensor? The parts house diagnosed it for me.”
The challenge is that this parts house didn't diagnose the whole problem. The difference between professionals and the parts houses is that they plugged your vehicle into a $39.95 code checker and spit out a code that said that the oxygen sensor was faulty. It is worth mentioning that 75% of the time an oxygen sensor is code-checked “out of range” the oxygen sensor is not bad, but there is a problem that is causing that sensor to fall outside of range. What generally happens is that the customers buys and self-installs a new parts house oxygen sensor then the light comes back on in 2-3 days with the same code. The reason the repair was not correct is that the underlying issues were not correctly addressed by the less than qualified parts house employee.
We use expensive bi-directional testing tools as equipment to determine real cause and effect. Our diagnosis involves using wiring schematics and involves our vast experience and professionalism to determine the real problem. Today’s cars demand a library of diagnosis tools & equipment well beyond your part house inventory. A part house is in business to sell parts; we are in the business of solving problems. You can spend a lot of money throwing parts at your vehicle but the professionals know to handle your vehicle. Our diagnosis costs between $0-$90/hr. Sometimes we apply cost of diagnosis to your labor costs, sometimes we do not. Great diagnosing is worth every penny because it saves money. Please see our manager for your car’s diagnosis rate.
